Judging & Awards Process

Nomination and voting is an extremely thorough process that is determined by both public recommendation/voting and a panel of industry experts.  The general public will be able to nominate their top choices in all categories listed, by an online voting system managed through this website.  At the conclusion of the open nomination period, the top pool of nominees in each category will be viewed by our panel of judges, who will in turn assist in providing the short list of nominees who will then move on to the final voter's ballot. After this period, the public will be asked to vote once again for their top choices. At the conclusion of the open voting period, our panel of industry experts in numerous areas of expertise, will assist in delivering a portion of the final scores.  The decision process in whole is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to: public popularity, the judge's review and recommendation based on questions listed on the nominee entry form.

Voting Forms & Nominations
Only ONE nomination entry form and ONE ballot poll entry form per IP address (per person) is permitted to allow for fair voting.
During the nomination period, the general public may enter a suggestion for a new category not listed in the official nomination ballot.  The suggested categories will move forward to the official ballot only if there are enough nominees in that category to be considered valid, and it is deemed appropriated by FAMD.
Any materials needed with entry forms are non-returnable.   Please do not send original or last copies.  FAMD takes no responsibility in lost forms and/or materials.
There is no phone, text, email or mail-in option. Nomination and voting will only take place via this website, www.FashionAwardsMD.com, sub-tab "Nominate". The FAMD team will also visit a number of events to conduct random voting in-person.  The website and the event voting with the FAMD team are the only two voting options.
Each ballot is not required to be fully completed with a vote/nomination for all categories, however any illegible, duplicated or defaced forms will be rejected.  Nominee names improperly categorized, and first-name only nominations are invalid.
