The Venue
Fashion Awards MD 2012 will take place at the The Kay Theatre, located on the beautiful campus of the University of Maryland, College Park inside of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.   A 610-seat proscenium theatre, it creates the atmosphere of the old Hollywood glamour with the amenities of a state-of-the-art performance space.  With a noiseless ventilation system, massive fly space, huge wings and an adjacent scene shop, the Kay Theatre can accommodate the lavish and sophisticated sets of complex opera and theatrical productions.  
Location:  Conveniently located off of I-495 at the intersection of route 193 (University Blvd) and Stadium Drive.  It is also accessible from route 295.  The Metro station (green line) is about a half-mile from the Kay Theatre, and UMD offers free Nite Ride service, transporting guests to and from the station for free after 5:30 PM.
Parking:  Free parking in “Lot 1” and paid parking in the Stadium Drive Garage ($5 daily maximum.)
