Volunteering is open to anyone with a strong interest in the fashion industry and positive work ethic.  Accepted volunteers must be dependable, driven and motivated.  While this is not a paid position, volunteering with FAMD can be a rewarding and exciting experience.   Applicants are selected based on our needs at the time submitted.  If interested, you will be contacted for an interview.

Below is a list of some areas we are accepting volunteers for:

  1. Online/ Networking- includes a variety of roles, including but not limited to- event promotion, research. networking, reporting.
  2. The Fashion Squad- in person promotion, nomination and vote taking, attending key events, visiting Maryland area fashion affiliates and more. Also includes some online work.
  3. Event support- includes but not limited to: backstage assistance, dressers, front-end assistance, designer and guest liaison, coordination, and general assistance the day of the event.  Must be available to attend periodic meetings and/or rehearsals leading up to the event.
